I met Bill Plympton

The king of independent animation was at Cinefamily last night. They screened a multitude of things including some pencil tests of upcoming films, 'Fascist Santa' (which I saw last year at The Guild in Albuquerque), 'The Cow Who Wanted To Be A Hamburger', a short clip of a biographical movie that is in the works, and a trailer for his latest movie 'Idiots and Angels.' He was very humble and homie is a beast, mentioning at least 5 other projects he's been working on steadily. I forgot my camera so all I got was a low-quality photo from my phone, but everyone in the audience got a free drawing of either the cow (the one that wanted to be a hamburger), or the dog (from 'Guard Dog', 'Guide Dog', 'Hot Dog' etc.). I had to choose the dog of course:

If you're in the LA area, be sure to catch 'Idiots and Angels' at Laemmle's Sunset 5 before the 4th!

Hey Steele, great seeing you and the amazing turnout at Cinefamily. We all got to see some exclusive stuff Bill NEVER shows anywhere.
Huge thanks to Jerry Beck for this special pre-"Animation Tuesdays" event.
Hope to see you Thursday night for the final screening of "Idiots & Angels" in L.A. at the Sunset Laemmle 5
