Flugblah

I don't feel like doing much today. Maybe I'll watch a couple movies I've been meaning to take off my netflix queue, finish a book, or do some drawing. I definitely won't be going to Sunset Junction. After Flugtag yesterday I think I've had enough milling about in hot, sweaty crowds. Flugtag was a little disappointing wack. It seems like a lot of fun in those commercials, but in reality it was just a mass of people waiting for something to happen. Watching elaborate "flying machines" nose dive into the pier lost it's novelty quick. So not worth the hour and a half drive to and from Long Beach. Never again.

I'm almost done with On Hitler's Mountain, a German woman's memoir of her nazi childhood. It's interesting in that it describes Nazi occupation in Germany from a child's point of view. The reading is light (I'm just about done with it and I started a couple days ago), but the subject matter can get seriously depressing at times.

I've also been sketching a lot for a webcomic that I want to launch soon. I'm hosting it on tumblr, because that site is just so nifty and I've been waiting for a good excuse to use it. Here's a link. I want to get it up and running by the end of this month, keep your fingers crossed. I would scan some of my doodles but they're trapped at work, and my scanner hasn't been working properly. Just know that I have been doing something creative with my time. :)
