Freak Show

I attended three shows last night. The first being a two-man, Vaudeville-style production, "Ain't We Got Fun?" For being absolutely free, as well as including a complimentary smorgasbord of free cupcakes and other baked goods (!!!), I left feeling pretty satisfied. It was cute enough.
The second, a showing of "The Blood Spattered Bride" presented by the Vamp-Con Film Festival. Although it was described as having a feminist slant, my friend Thip pointed out that it seemed to be the opposite and said it "was obviously made by a man." I can definitely see where she is coming from. The titular bride's husband is unabashedly abusive, and lesbianism is portrayed as a direct threat to masculinity and manhood. I'm making this movie sound more serious than it is though, it brought non-stop laughs from the audience, including myself.

Lastly I caught
FreakShow Deluxe's traveling carnival-style sideshow entitled "I Invented Sideshow!" They wrapped up their tour at The Complex’s Ruby Theater in Hollywood.

She swallowed that whole balloon and popped it after!

The pianist was awesome.

He set that mousetrap off on his tongue.

Snapping a target stick out of her mouth with a whip.

I think these two are self explanatory...

Bravo!
