Ah yes, a "scraps" post. Is it bad that I had to Google a Roman numeral chart for the title?
- Over the weekend I saw Black Dynamite, a parody of those blaxploitation flicks that were so prevalent in the 70's. It began with the titular character pleasuring three women at once and ended in a kung fu match against President Nixon. I can dig it.
- I didn't celebrate Valentine's Day, instead I had dinner at a Chinese-Vietnamese friend's house for Lunar New Year dinner. Said feast included fried rice, roast duck, a ham, seafood noodle, egg rolls, and some hot rice cake for dessert. Most of the guests were from the BA/MD program, so naturally conversation turned to lab results and horror stories about the soul-crushing homework they had waiting for them at home. At that point I was so full and drowsy I simply nodded and smiled at whatever everyone said to me.
- The morning before that party I found this co-op grocery and was reminded of that episode of King of the Hill where Hank joins a co-op when the butchery at his local Mega-lo mart started serving sub-par steaks. The cashier had his red hair in dreads, hippie central.
- I have received Tatsunoko vs. Capcom but have yet to play it enough to make a decision about it. Schoolwork is a bitch.
- Lately I have been having this fear of people hearing me breathe. I'll usually have my earbuds in whilst walking around campus, so I can't tell if I'm breathing hard or not. Being a relatively fast walker, I often end up directly behind a person before passing them. That's when I get nervous and start holding my breath. The result is me looking like an idiot, exhaling and inhaling constantly. Is that a sign of autism or just regular ol' OCD?
- OmonaTheyDidn't has been taking up far too much of my life. I mostly post Brown Eyed Girls-related news. My username is "steeele" btw.
