Not down with the sickness

I'm sitting on my bed with my laptop. There are cough drop wrappers and used tissues strewn all across the floor. Porco Rosso is playing on my television that is now sitting on my dresser so that I can see it better. I am sick. Earlier this week it was some minor eye strain, and a fever. Then the weekend came and suddenly my voice disappeared.
I had important things to do this weekend. I have an interactive media project due on Tuesday, which was supposed to be comprised of interactive vlogs, polls, blogs, photos, and based on the theme of "generosity." I had planned on doing some volunteer work to set things off. I was very excited. Now everything is blown, and I might have to show up relatively empty handed on Tuesday all because of this virus that has been going around my dorm. It's not fair.
This semester is not going at all like I wanted. I feel as though I'm always behind in my work, and am often lost during class. This weekend was supposed to be the end of all that. My project was going to be a huge success, and I would be in good standing with my instructors and their respective TAs. Lately this blog is being used more for venting rather than a place for sharing my interests, and that sucks. No one cares. I just need to suck things up and continue working as if everything is fine. The Nyquil is to blame if this post seems a little scattered. Bleaurgh. Sorry.
