Brown Eyed Girls' "Sign" EP Released!

I loved Sound G and it's accompanying collection of remixes. Promotions for their lead single "Abracadabra" (that I listen to constantly, along with with a variety of remixes I've found) ended weeks ago, so I was beginning to think that I was going to have to go without seeing my beloved Brown Eyed Girls for a while.

Fortunately, I was wrong and they're back with "Sign." What with all the various teasers and sneak peaks, I feel as though I've been waiting forever for this to be released. Included in the EP is "Abracadabra" (Fraktal Voodoo Remix), "Drunk on Sleep", and "Sign" (Junjaman Remix). Although "Abracadabra" was a huge hit, it differed greatly from their past singles, and "Sign" seems to harken back to the days of "L.O.V.E." and "My Style." The vocals are unhindered by auto-tune, and Miryo's rapping is more prominently featured, what more could I ask for? Junjaman's remix is infinitely better, I almost wish they had released it in place of the original. I'm not surprised I prefer his version as he's one half of Romantic Couch, my favorite dance music group.

"Drunk on Sleep" was released before "Sign" and the complete EP, but I'm not a fan of ballads so I don't have much of an opinion on it. Many have been saying it sounds like ABBA's "The Winner Takes It All." I'll trust their judgement because I am unable to make a comparison myself since I can only listen to ABBA for about three seconds before I begin smashing things. I blame my best friend's mom, who played ABBA every time she drove us anywhere. You wouldn't believe how happy we were when I got my driver's license, but I digress.
[Clockwise: Narsha, Ga In, Miryo, JeA]

They also have a new look that I'm thoroughly enjoying. Thoroughly. Narsha's popular "one eye" wig has been switched out for a shaggy, boyish cut making her look even more like an anime villian, and Miryo's now sporting an odd pompadour that closely resembles that of Big Boy's. I eagerly await the music video so I that can see all of this in motion. It's supposed to be released sometime tomorrow, and you can bet your bippy that I'll post it then.

I really support your irrational love of Kpop.
