I love YouTube. I really do, I can be on YouTube into the wee hours of the night, watching videos of funny cats. Seriously, I type "funny cats" into the search bar and am amused for a good hour. Two videos in particular have me lol'ing no matter how many times I watch them, here they are:It's likely you'll watch these and think I'm a dumbass for laughing at such a thing, OR, you'll find them equally as hilarious as I do (or neither, whatever). My sister could not understand for the life of her why I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe at these videos, eventually she started laughing too, but I think it was mostly because I couldn't stop. ANYway, back to the whole point of this post, assholes on YouTube.
Anonymity breeds behavior that one wouldn't normally use in a public setting. I know I'm not uncovering anything shocking by writing this, because everyone who's on the internet knows about this, and the internet has been used like this for as long as I can remember using it. I know that bad mouthing and such exists on the internet; there are forums, groups, and many other sites used solely for this purpose. But YouTube seems like one of those sites now, where people talk so much shit it's mind boggling. Yeah, people have the right to speak their mind, especially on the internet, but on YouTube it's gotten to the point where you lose faith in mankind. I read some comments and I'm like, "Really? Do they really think that?", I just can't believe it. I'm not turning into some activist for internet censorship, because I think people can do or say whatever they please on the internet, but I do want to post a couple of the most awful comments I've seen on YouTube.
The nastiest comments often appear on the videos of music artists, where outright wars go on, defending or attacking the particular performer:

and this one was for Christina Milian's video for "Dip It Low".
The "ugly jew bitch" comment has since been "marked as spam". The spam marking tool is cool because any user can hide comments that are just looking to advertise on free space, and you can still view the hidden comments if you want to. It can also be used to hide ignorant comments such as that one, which is both good and bad because it's totally up to one's own discretion. I think it's funny that a video not flagged as containing "adult material" can still have viewable comments on it that include the words "saggy cummy lips".
As for me, I tend to steer towards videos of things most people can all agree on, like cats eating corn.

hahaha your post is funny cause it's true, yes some people can be true ASSHOLES when leaving posts, I mean what the hell, what do they care about someone's drug usage, they have no right to chastise her like that (I like Amy Winehouse) she's here to make music, anything else is her personal business (damn papparazi as well). Anyways yes people are dumb. I like you by fellow websurfing friend I too stear more toward the comedy video or, the "people with amazing talents" "kids who can sing" "birds who do trick" searches.

I am re-written because this last part sounds so retarded on the other comment, so many typos crap
