Things I'm Scared Of: Television Edition

Remember my earlier post on chows? Those beastly, man eating bear dogs? Well, before that little incident, there was something else I was deathly afraid of:
Alf, the "friendly" alien was by far the scariest being on television I had ever seen. I don't exactly recall the premise of the show, but I do remember scrambling for the remote when his program came on. Speaking of freaky 90's television, Ernest was pretty high up on my list of scary shows, as well as the Crypt Keeper..

Watching any one of these shows was guaranteed to give me nightmares for the rest of the week. My parents used to watch The X-Files most nights, but it wasn't the show that scared me, it was the intro music, the "doo-deedoo-deeedooodooo". When I got a little bit older I started watching "America's Most Wanted". I would check all of the door locks at the end of the show when John Walsh would say, "If you see this man, please call America's Most Wanted or your local police station." So I guess I was pretty much scared of anything that wasn't on the Nickelodeon channel.
